Hello followers! Just wanted to let you guys know I started a new tumblr. It’s local-life.tumblr.com, and it’s dedicated to just documenting my hometown of Norfolk and the surrounding area. I mostly post stuff from my travels, but I gotta show some hometown love too. I’m still keeping this blog, but go ahead and give local-life a look-see and follow if you feel so inclined. :) Take care, folks!
Virginia-based photographer here, dedicated to travel and documenting everything along the way. I like to believe that this world is ours to explore, and that constantly roaming around is the best way to wipe away ignorance, expand your mind, and truly feed your soul. Pictures help me remember the places I've been and the lessons I've learned. Taking them has become a highly personal experience for me, and it's liberating to share them here. Just got back from the first trip I’ve taken in months. Went and finally checked out good ol’ Chicago. I’ve passed through this town dozens of times, and never had the chance to stay and see the sights. I only had 2 days there, so I didn’t snap as many pictures as I wanted to, but I hope you guys enjoy! Thanks for following!

So I’ve started working with Five Points Community Farm Market and their new Mobile Market. It’s a project where we set up shop in some of Norfolk’s “food deserts,” mostly low-income neighborhoods where there’s not enough access to fresh produce, and sell fresh veggies at a discounted price (and sometimes give stuff away). And we’re also supporting local Virginia farmers and small-scale agriculture in the process. These pics are from last Saturday when we were in Ballentine Place.

Went back through some old photos from my days as a San Franciscan, and thought this would go well with my last post of the Chesapeake Bay. While the Chesapeake will always be my home, the SF Bay holds a special place in my heart too.
